A fundraiser for the Topeka High School Historical Society
Spend a great evening with THS alums of The Ric Barron Band (Ric 1970, Arnie Bryant 1971, Howard Bradley 1971, Clinton Bryant 1967, Tommy Stewart 1966 and Tommy Jones 1971) featuring Richetta Manager 1971. Celebrate with old friends, hear some excellent music and support the THS Historical Society in this fundraising event!
Pre-sold tickets are just $25. Tickets at the door, if any remain, will be $35. All seating is GA, but space is limited.
A cash bar will be available, plus the opportunity to order food. Don't forget to bid in our silent auction which will be set up right outside the doors to Uncle Bo's.
The music will start about 6:30 and you'll get the opportunity to visit with Ric Barron and Richetta Manager before and after the show.
Richetta Manager was born in Topeka, attended Topeka Public Schools and is a Topeka High School (class of 1971) and Washburn University graduate. She is a highly acclaimed jazz, big band and classical entertainer in Europe.
Topekans know Ric Barron (class of 1970) as a sought after musician the past 40+ years. The Ric Barron Band hails from the Greater Topeka/Kansas City Metro area. They play a variety of genres of music that includes classic rock, blues and r & b. Ric Barron is a Kansas Music Hall of Fame inductee for his 20 plus years of work as the lead guitarist for The Exceptions, a popular band in the Midwest region, still performing today.
Silent Auction and items for sale will include:
- Topeka High prints
- Pens made from the wood of the 1931 Topeka High flagpole, a spar from the U.S.S. Constitution "Old Ironsides"
- Topeka High notecards featuring beautiful photographs of the historic building and Topeka High ornaments
Topeka High will celebrate its 150th Anniversary during Homecoming Weekend in 2021.
